Health and Safety Excellence
We maintain rigorous standards to protect personnel and create a safe working environment:
- Hierarchy of Controls: Prioritization of engineering controls for development and manufacturing processes, supplemented by administrative controls and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Comprehensive Occupational Health Program: Regular health monitoring, preventive care, and immediate access to medical support
- Process Safety Management: Dedicated Process Hazard Assessment (PHA) facility, HAZOP implementation for major processes, and mandatory safety training before production activities
- Emergency Response System: Complete site coverage with fire hydrants, sprinklers, detectors, and extinguishers in compliance with Fire NOC guidelines
- Containment Strategy: Engineering controls and equipment designed to eliminate occupational exposure to hazardous materials
- Safety Training Program: Regular, comprehensive training covering process safety, emergency response, and proper handling procedures
Compliance Framework
Our integrated compliance system ensures adherence to all applicable regulations:
- Regulatory Alignment: Full compliance with local Factory Inspectorate guidelines for facility design, including boundaries, green belt areas, occupational health centre, washrooms, and roadways
- Standardized Procedures: Comprehensive EHS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) detailing compliance requirements and implementation protocols
- UN SDG Support: Strategic alignment with United Nations Sustainability Development Goals and 2030 objectives, extending to supply chain partners
- Documentation System: Robust record-keeping for all EHS activities, inspections, and compliance verification
- Audit Program: Regular internal and third-party assessments of EHS systems and performance
- Continuous Improvement: Ongoing evaluation and enhancement of EHS programs to exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards
Community Responsibility
We extend our commitment beyond facility boundaries:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Regular communication with community representatives and local authorities
- Transparency Practices: Clear reporting on environmental performance and safety metrics
- Community Support Programs: Initiatives supporting local health, education, and environmental projects
- Emergency Preparedness: Coordination with local emergency services for comprehensive response planning
DASHA PHARMA DECARBONISATION STRATEGY
At Dash Pharma we recognise that the Pharmaceutical Industry has a mayor role to play to decarbonise our planet and we wish to play a large part in tackling global warming.
We are taking action now because we recognise the correlation between healthy people and a healthy planet.
We therefore pride ourselves in reducing our science-based targets in Scope 1 and 2 by substituting fossil fuels as a source of fuel to green fuels such as bagasse and woodchip. These products are grown locally and will provide a larger part of our fuel source in the future. Our target is to produce 80% of our energy requirements using green sources by 2028 .
Not only are we reducing this dependency on fossil fuels, but we are also increasing our dependency on Solar energy using PV panels to generate electrical power.
